Happy (almost) Thanksgiving! We jumped the gun over here and went to the American food store and just couldn’t wait to cook up a few Thanksgiving staples so thought I would help get you guys in the spirit and get your stomachs growling;) We had to make a few minor adjustments like using fresh green beans in the green bean casserole…they are not big on frozen in this neck of the woods…but it turned out delicious! My Dad coached us through making his world famous stuffing and I have to say it was pretty darn close! Add some mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce and it was a feast!
*Ok perhaps I forgot the turkey but turkey is overrated anyways right? John made do with some type of meat product that hit the spot;)
I am still feeling great and chugging along! We are dealing with a small housing crisis…they are planning to do some major construction above us so we are going to have to move. I know, I know… not the best timing but I have given myself some wonderful therapy (thanks VCU School of Social Work) and we are staying positive and looking at the bright side.
* Deep breaths, calming thoughts:)
So, on that note….5 things we are so very thankful for:
1. Thanks to our wonderful friends and families who said “go for it!” when we came up with this crazy idea!
2. Thanks for all the visitors who have made the trek to London-town…people told me “oh, people say they will come but they really won’t”…guess they don’t know our family and friends!
3. Thanks for being so supportive and excited about Baby Jobe….it means the world to us!
4. Thanks for reading the blog and staying in such good touch…makes us feel so connected and in the loop!
5. Big thanks to John for taking us on this adventure–it will be something we remember always!
I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving–think of John on Thursday as he rides the crowded, smelly tube to work and be thankful you are not him;) Love, Caroline

Happy Thanksgiving Caroline & John! We’re enjoying turkey day in Folly Beach, S.C. We’re waiting for Genna’s crew to join us this afternoon. We visited Crysta and Kaleb and Katarina last night! She is so cute! Can’t wait to meet your little one! Thinking of you always!
Happy Thanksgiving John and Caroline! We will miss you both (oops ~~ all three of you) tomorrow, but you will be there in our hearts!! So excited for Baby Jobe’s arrival real soon! I have guessed a baby boy, but all of the unknown makes it all the more exciting! I absolutely love reading your blogs ~~ thanks for sharing! Perhaps if John reminded his office that he is an American, they will give him Thanksgiving Day off ~~ just a thought!
P.S. Takara will have a few days off ~~ a first in awhile! 🙂
Think of you often and sending you both all the best! So exciting . . . deep breaths and calming thoughts are perfect . . .
Love and Happiness,
Parker’s Mimi
